Although not much different from being in the new stadium with the seats miles from the pitch.

They're adapting the stadium so that temporary seating covers the running track

True, but there's still a lot more space behind the goals and along the sidelines than at most old grounds (including Upton Park).

Also the seats are banked much less sharply than older grounds and without overlapping tiers.

It's still shit, seating is too shallow so you only have to be a few rows from the front and you are miles from the pitch. Will not be a couldron of noise.

I've been to a couple of games there with that setup and you're still a fair way from the pitch. On the upside though you get comfy seats (although obviously given an option I'd still opt for proper wooden seats).
