  • Looking for something aesthetically pleasing for my corima which I just noticed has the axle tapped. I remember seeing a custom job a good few pages which worked with a countersunk socket bolt, was it something @mdcc_tester designed?

I seem to be the source for several people on here doing bolt on conversions. If the axle has M6 female threads, you can use M6×16 countersunk screws with cup washers. I'm using ProBolt at the moment, but @svendhöek found some from another source which actually look nicer, but obviously not as nice as the ones I'll be making later in the year.

  • After much research etc. I ended up going for the RRE washers. Couldn't find any A4 grade bolts readily available in black so went for some A2 grade from ebay. One more thing, what are the grey rings in the image below and are they necessary? do they provide better grip for the bolts?

They are paper washers, there to protect the paint when you use the cup washers to attach the fairing panels on your motorbike. For holding your wheel to your fork, discard them.

I probably should have pointed out that I have plenty of blacked stainless M6×16 Torx countersunk, I can't remember whether they are A2 or A4, and it doesn't matter in this instance. Is it too late to cancel your ebay order? :-)
