That's the CAAD10 you whippet, not the CAAD12.

this is proving annoying - the 'Attitude' type seems really familiar but I can't find a match yet. What's the word to be created?

Yes - you need the Si crank lock ring tool, or KT012.

You'd also need the Si crank arm extractor tool or KT013

I noticed when i returned my CAAD 12 that they had put the hose routing down the forks on upside down(!) hence why the hose was rubbing the tyre... Add that to the top cap shredding, spacer/stem incorrectly assembled, 6cm of cable dangling out of the derailleurs it wasn't pretty.

The new one's alright though. Phew!

Yeah i left mine with them to sort out the rubbing derailleurs/very loud drivetrain and poorly adjusted brakes before i actually take it

Have you use Shimano shifter before? (Front shift specifically).

No i hadnt but i did give all the trim places a go and it still sounded... Less than brand new...
