Also @mdcc_tester, @mespilus and @hamrack I was going to boil some of the water off but having drained it off into a glass I could see quite a lot of dust in it so it is unusable for my desired purposes. It was worth a try I suppose.

Thanks for the offer but I'm okay for suitable supplies. I was thinking there must be a use for this by-product of drying clothing. Cheers.
