Best Hubs/rims for commuting

Posted on
  • any suggestions, have an old carlton flyer track bike. Currently have navigator pistas which personally don't cut it for me for commuting so looking for something a bit more comfortable

  • H plus son rims are very popular but for good reason.

Hubs - sealed bearing good quality like suzue.

Spend a decent amount of money on good parts now and save on maintenance cost/time later.

7 years in London commuting everyday tought me this :)

  • Mavic A119 to Novatec.

  • H Plus Son and sealed bearings for commuting purposes.

Loose bearing hubs for high days, dry days and Sundays.

  • thanks for all the help guys. Decided on the BLB rear laced to velocity for the rear and 2006 campy record laced to an open pro for the front
