don't trust the bedwetters ^^, stripping carbon forks is no problem. Just book a day off and bring your best sanding game.

I wish I had a vice or clamp to assist in the sanding!
all you need is a couple grades of sandpaper and self belief my son. You can do it. You can sand that fork.
Bucket of water helps, too... Use wet&dry paper (240 grit, maybe 120 for initial strokes, and 400 for final strip). Wet carbon is easier to spot (i.e. so you don't sand through it) than dry, especially when it's been abraded.
