2 things I've learned after catching up on the last 10 pages.
-Very proud to see the reactions/comments on this forum to the hateful language that used to be thrown around so casually. Not sure about the North Carolina bathroom situation in the states but it's constantly on the news. We're used to it though...so much embarrassing things come out of that region (Florida is the worst for facepalm events).
-Cannondale needs start cranking out "retro tracks." Make a few subtle changes to keep the collectors happy but have them made in the US and priced reasonably. Plus it allows people to buy a new frame (without unknown history). Yes, I know there is other makers doing Dale-like frames but a true Cannondale would be so awesome. If we can get GT to start pumping out retro GTB's too, that would be crash the servers here.
In the past, I've seen companies come out with retro versions of past products and all of the collectors sitting on originals asking absolutely ridiculous pricing end up getting screwed when the market drops. Just seeing a two Dales on fleabay...one frame with a large seat tube dent for $1500+ and another complete Track (with dents/scratches) for $3000 makes me want to punch the screen.
The reason they are cool is that they are old and hard to obtain. People like stuff that's rare, even if it is ancient, rubbish(by todays standards), and bound to crack.
What Cannondale need to do is bosh out a caad12 track which isn't a bodge job of the road frame.
