• LOL at sandpaper.

It was owned by a messenger in SF. The previous owner was one of the MASH guys.
He hand painted over all of the exposed chrome using some silly primer gray color...it looked really bad since it was a flat color and didn't match the original paint.. All it took was a scrub brush and soap to remove all of the crappy touch-up paint. It's all from real use. You can still see a lot of the crappy gray touch up paint in the pic.

It's only bad in the usual U-Lock spots....head tube area, seat cluster area, and sides of the seat stays from leaning against stuff.

  • You're proud to have a bought a frame in poor condition that the previous owner didn't care about and probably charged you more for the privilege?

  • It's mash though....#fixiefamous

  • The frame is an awesome condition. Only one small tiny ding that can only be seen if you look at the right angle.

The previous owner did care about it...he just road it often/locked it up in the city.
I paid about 250 quid shipped to my door....and that's with an almost new Chris King headset.

Had the old BB pulled out and a frame builder took a look at it...he said the frame was straight as an arrow and needed zero tweaking.

I brought up the Mash deal because it was a cool bit of history.
EDIT: I didn't buy it from a Mash guy, the guy I bought it from had it since 2005. HE bought it from one of the Mash guys back in 2005.

God you guys can complain about anything.
