I don't know anyone who works there, but like most people I've done poorly paid customer services work before and have little sympathy for people who are on the nicer end of the stick.
And to @Itisaboutthebike point - 'Manners are free and require little effort. If you're rude you probably shouldn't be in a customer facing role.' Not everyone gets the luxury of choosing any job they like, and frankly why should manners ie. obsequiousness come free when you're making someone elses money..??
I'm sorry if he's a friend of yours or whatever but he was plain rude and I will reiterate that as I please.
