  • Not sure any team can beat Atletico in this years competition, just the ability nick a quality goal either on the break or off the back of some aggressive pressing, to defend for long periods, deny the opposition space and do it all for 90mins, they take that underdog mentality, and ally it to team work, determination skill and technique, and having beaten arguably the two best teams in european football, what odds them doing the local derby bit and beating Real in the final.

Even if Man City get past Real Madrid, I can't see them beating Atletico either...

Last nights game was a cracker, but defensively Atletico were superb, once they got the goal, couldn't see Bayern scoring two, then when they got awarded the penalty, you couldn't see Atletico getting back into it if it went in, then the tension off the back of the brainfart of a penalty award for Atletico..

Would have liked Guardiola to go out with a bang at Bayern and play in the final, but Simeone's and Atletico's rise to the final is a thing of sweating, hard working beauty as well..

Not sure how his underdog mentality, and us against them would work at the bigger, deeper pocketed clubs that are circling. I've a feeling if he ever leaves Atletico it'll be to another underachieving club he may have played for like Lazio or Inter...
