  • That's correct...it's exactly a few mm wider.
    Actually I think it's simply a hole, the bolt screws in in the other side of the seatpost, maybe...need to verify :) can't remember correctly. But that's the general idea.

  • Thanks very much, couldn't quite work out was was going on. I want an expanding seatpost but on an inline post and had thought about the below design on a Thomson Elite for example. Other than having to take the saddle off to adjust height, is there a better way for modifying and inline post? @mdcc_tester ?

    Use a cone and slot the post rather than using a wedge. You want to copy Cinelli, not Kalloy :-)

    The Atax double cone design is even better
