  • love the felt btw

  • Really good. It took ages to get it in the right position, it's very counter intuitive, but it's nearly bang on now. 2 hours of riding at pace and I don't even notice it, on the turbo it's a bit more noticeable but by far the best saddle I've used. I'm going to swap my Evolution with @amey 's Composit for a bit to compare.

The only minor downside is you basically have 1 position with little room for movement, so I probably won't end up using it on my track bike as I like to sit on the rivet for sprints and that.

  • Cheers, that photo makes the saddle look even further forward than it is. I've had some trouble getting it set up properly and have consequently failed hard in a coupe of races when my legs cramped up, but think I've got it better now.

  • Nearly finished my CDF, just need to fit the mudguards, Luxos light and wrap the bars. Will probably desticker wheels and eventually change finishing kit after a bike fit

  • Cheers, make sure pics of the finished product make it on here!

  • Looks really good! Lose the white saddle though...

@withered_preacher sure thing but it's not going to happen soon. Thought about a cheap & quick powdercoat but will most likely save up for a proper wet paint job.

  • Cycle PS got my seatpost out.
    Top dons

  • Never seen a Thomson post with the letters like this. What kind of tomfoolery is this?

  • Hammer, big fuckin pipe wrench, a vice and a load of penetratin grease.
Seatpost is out of use but was o lay a fiver many years ago so not end of the world.
@Tijs limited fixie fixie edition ;)
Nah jus a sticker on some random inline post I found

  • Use grease next time.

  • That was the issue. Used som old shitty grease to get back from a shop after snappin the previous one then forgot like a dickhead n it didn't do the trick

  • grease is grease, you probably used wd40 or something like it.

Or put some serious heft into tightening it up

  • tomfoolery

    Thom-foolery?

  • grease is grease

Clearly the grease thread has passed you by :-)

  • Less than 3 quid and will last for ages!

Go all out and spend £5 on a 500g tub, mine is half empty but then I did buy it in 1990

  • So... Two in one week. Why not.
Massive Massive thanks to Fitzrovia bikes for being fucking ace.

And today is a newbikeday héhéhéhéhé

    héhéhé

This bike cost a lot of money of my money :/

I hope it will rode well !<3

I hope this tires will be sympatoches !

Dear Londonians friens, can you ask Rapha to open a succursale in Mamoudzou City ?

The CO2 bilan of this bike is really not god, i promise i will compense it in riding to commute to go to work and it maybe redempt me for the heaven of the heart <3

  • Picked this up yesterday:

I really don't want to throw too much money at this but the 135mm rear spacing will prob limit my wheel choice. Right now I'm thinking either cheap mtb free hub with a cog and spacers or splash out on a surly mountain hub & WI freewheel. Probably laced to an open sport.

Next is cranks, what do people normally use for sscx?

  • Good point but the tube fits into the tool box.

That said 500g tub would be on order once I get a man cave shed! :D

  • What's going on with the cable ties? Did that bike used to be a different colour?
