grease is grease, you probably used wd40 or something like it.
Or put some serious heft into tightening it up

Copper grease. Less than 3 quid and will last for ages!

That was the issue. Used som old shitty grease to get back from a shop after snappin the previous one then forgot like a dickhead n it didn't do the trick
