So my friend goes back home to the Punjab.
While there he picks up a new Hero Jet SS Gold (I know!).
I say 'I'll put it together for you, no problem'.
He brings it back and while I'm looking it over I notice that it has Woods valves that won't inflate with my pump which plays both kinds of music, Presta and Schrader.
Ok, just switch out for a regular valve tube.
Nope.
Front tire is a ridiculous 7 ply, rear is a much worse 12 ply.
After 2 tries I manage to get the front tube in without destroying it.
No such luck on the back.
Epic fail for me - first time in forever that a tube/tire/rim combo will not cooperate.
I'm going to try and convince him to spring for some Schwalbes or something.
By the way, the rear wheel w/tire and tube weighs about 4kg.
