Miraculously, my local bike shop was open today, and had a set bottom bracket taps, so I had the chase out the shell and install the BB. This was great, apart from the fact that they installed one of the cups the wrong way round.
Took me a while to figure it out, but once I had, we were up and running again.
Started with the drive-train:
Was delighted to find this rear mech in my parts box:
Next up was brake callipers, front;
And rear;
My next job was to be installing the down-tube shifting levers, but sadly the threads on the bosses were blocked with paint. I'm going to have to tap them out, which involves finding my tap-set. Looks like that's about it for this weekend.
