  • Tell PayPal what's he saying. They'll likely see it as very suspicious or uncooperative and probably force refund you from his account.

  • Forward communication to PayPal.

They will hopefully then just refund you and tell you to keep the frame.

Get the frame fixed wih 10% of the refund, build it and post it in rat bikes.

Money comes and goes but internet fame is eternal.

  • Will do.

He's just sent me another message saying that he's removed the money from his paypal, he will not refund me, and that he'll continuously complain to paypal.

Not really sure what he's going to continuously complain about

  • Money comes and goes but internet fame is eternal.

    Wurdd

  • They will take the money regardless.

  • Thats what I though, however I feel that he may not know that...

  • His problem entirely, I presume they'll just take it out of his linked bank? It might make him more cooperative in future.

  • Not sure that is possible or how it works in different countries, but the PayPal balance can become negative. LOL imagine the look on the guy's face :)

  • He can withdraw the money and close down his bank account I suppose, but then PayPal will have appropriate partners to collect the money from Mr Cunt Seller, probably by paying him a nice visit.

  • Been on the phone with paypal and they've said that I need to send it back to get the refund. If he doesn't accept the parcel, the money is refunded to me. The tracking just needs to show that there was a delivery attempt

  • oh shit, I'm looking at postage and its telling me its going to be near to £200 to post it back

  • Bah, just send a small parcel with loads of jerk fish in it and send it to him. Give paypal trackng. When he accepts the parcel because he thinks its something else then you receive refund. Win/Win situation.

  • As good as that sounds, if he complains to paypal can they not reverse the refund?

  • His word against yours

  • All he'd have to do is send a pic of the box with tracking info on it though

  • Probably not the best idea. The box would have dimension and weight information, as well as customs declarations.

  • I don't know what to do, I'm going to be losing out on £250+ if I send it back

  • Im wasnt being that serious tbh but it could be worth a try if return shipping is too expensive.

Parcel2go quoted me 60quid for a 26" 5kg wheel to new york, and checked price for a frame box to south korean. not cheap but an alternative -

    FX World Economy
Collection tomorrow if you book in the next 24 hours
    Including £50 protection
    £135.84

  • It's less but still a lot. I'm trying to weigh up if it better for me to lose £200 and have nothing or have payed way over the value but I have a frame which I can fix then ride..

  • Either way it's a shitty situation

  • Is there not a cheap boat based shipping that takes ages? Doesn't really matter when it arrives as long as you have a tracking number and send it right? If he's not accepting it anyway you'll get it back in 3 months and already have most of the cash back.

  • Anyone ever used Landmark Economy Super Saver? Says its collected by parcelforce and passed on. both legs tracked

  • I've used them ^ to post to Europe and so far no issues. Took a bit longer than other couriers but no complaints. T

  • Okay that might be the way to go. It says delivery is within 15 days which is fine. Am I right that as long as it has some kind of tracking it'll be fine?

  • So it gets posted to the postage supermarket first and then they send u another tracking number depending on whom they use. So yes, as far as my experience goes it's all trackable etc. T
