Right I am going to get DT460 for commute. As I have a hub otherwise I would get the Fulcrum.

Can't decide if I like the Fulcrums or not. But DT 460 probably on a commuter.

There is some conflict there with the tyres wouldn't happen with Continental.

Done for now. Lots of fun and a good fit! Learning to commute on it, not used to riding fixed at all and steep downhills are scary. But I totally get the stuff about sorting out your pedalling skills by going fixed for a while!

Thru Axels! I don't understand them.

My current cross bike takes QRs front and back, but Thru Axels seem to be the way forward. If I was to purchase new wheels, I would like them to be Thru Axels, as I'm thinking about changing the fork (initially), and changing the frame (eventually). Is there a convertor I can use to use QRs on my current frameset, until I change over to Thru Axels?

You can buy thru axle adapters to qr in different sizes, have a look on ebay

If you are hand building the wheels get hubs that have swappable end caps. Hope, certain Novatech etc. They allow you to swap between the different axle standards quickly and easily.

And if you're buying factory wheels, make sure they are convertible, and ideally that they come with the parts in the package.

Worth bearing in mind that the through axle business remains in flux, so the frame and fork you buy next year still might not be compatible with whatever wheels you buy this year.

Did you buy from them directly? The decals on my JYD have pretty much come off and some new ones would be nice

Temp saddle/ position- needs to shift back and swap to Arione- and stem-probably reverse the Thomson or find something a bit more angled.
