Carlton fixed gear 23"

  • I've reluctantly decided to sell my Carlton fixie - I've come to terms with the fact that it's a bit it too big for me and my other bikes are just more comfy.

The frame is an old Carlton in plain gauge 531 steel. It has been modified at some point in its life to have track drops. Recently powder coated signal orange and fitted with new hand-built wheels.

The wheels were hand-built myself and have not seen much use. They're miche primato large flange hubs laced to mavic open pros. Spokes are all double butted stainless. Front wheel is radial rear is 3x.

Bars are deda piega with a 3t stem. Seat post is an old aero campag type.

Front Dia compe long drop brake with a dirt Harry lever.

Stronglight chainset with shimano un55 cartridge bottom bracket.

Pedals are MKS stream pedals fitted with power grips.

    Njs chain tugs also included.

I'm after £350. I'm located in Ipswich and it's collection only. Now £300!

Regarding location I do get around a lot with work. If you get in touch I can possibly meet up anywhere near the A1 or M6.

  • Does it still have the swiss-cheese seat-stay bridge?

  • Yeah, it's the chain stay bridge though and has not caused me any trouble. Been meaning to fill it at some point.

Planning to split and keep the wheels. Drop me a PM if interested in any of the bits.
