Just acquired a Marathon Supreme 28c to get the girlfriend's bike ready for touring. Thought I'd take the opportunity to check my clearances out of curiosity, and it appears Ron Cooper didn't have 28c in mind when he built my bike. At least I know!

put 5800/6800/9000 brake and it should clear the tyre easily.

Adjust the centering screw on both side of that brakes as well as reposition it.

28mm will work, it's not Ron's fault, just the design of the brakes.

To be honest I'm fairly happy with 25c but if I wanted 28c in there, would I be right in saying that Marathon Supreme is a fairly tall tyre because of the amount of rubber? If I was to put a larger tyre on this bike it would be probably be something more slick, which would probably work? It may be academic anyway because I'm considering the Corsa G+ 25c bundle that Amey shared. #gumwalltart

I don't know, in theory the Supreme is slightly taller due to the extra rubber, maybe but I don't have one on hand to check.

But dude, you just need to tweak the brakes, it need adjusting.

I'm interested in this too. Got SRAM Force on my road bike.

The caliper isn't the issue, as the brake pads are currently set quite high up so there's room to accommodate larger tyres with SRAM Force on the right frame. The limiting measure at the moment is the distance from drop-out to brake bridge. Anyway, as I say it was an academic exercise for me since I've just ordered some more 25c.
