  • ^cheers all, I've ordered both sizes and will return one pair after much deliberation in front of the mirror at home. Hopefully it will say on a label someone where if they are sanforized? I know Edwin used to be but I don't know about these new styles.

  • Was just referring to my own recent experience.
Do you need tips for anything besides denim? Where abouts are you going?

  • What's the general opinion on Jacob Cohen jeans?

I used to sell these when I was 16 or so at a local designer menswear store, they used to fly out the store.

    Price was roughly 250 - maybe 350ish

I always really wanted a pair but never had the money. Anyone got a pair?

  • My ed-55s shrank a lot in leg length - more than I'd bargained for...

  • They have no place here - go and sit on the naughty step and start at the beginning of this thread.

No lycra, no fucking stingray patches and quirky linings - it's called "Proper Selvedge Jeans" for a reason.

  • I'm thinking about buying a pair of sugar cane okinawa jeans to memorate my visit there. They have a python patch. Should I avoid and file them with cohen? Or are they kosher?

  • Cohen and kosher? Lol.

Sugar Cane make proper denim. Jacob Cohen doesn't.

  • Huh?

These jeans were absolutely gorgeous quality, Japanese denim, horse-hair label and the pockets just felt amazing when on.

    What am I missing?

  • Ha ha - go to bed with a dram, wake up with a porpoise.

If nothing else, pre-used denim is stupid

  • They're just expensive Diesel Jeans.

Like @withered_preacher says, pre-used denim is stupid.

  • Unless you're gonna buy it super cheap and dye it black... #thetonslenway

  • I thought teenslain was dead?

Isn't it all about #Euroldman and channeling your inner early Slade?

  • I'm not doing that again... I looked like an old lady...

  • Vile...

  • Amaze.

  • Jacob Cohen Jeans are rivaling the most expensive jeans in the world… Or are they? Worn by the likes of David Beckham, everybody who’s anybody in St. Tropez has a pair. And yes, if you wear them, who knows, you could become a superstar too. They’re seriously cool. We’re talking, throw-a-pair-on-and-you’re-instantly-cool kind of cool.

And on that basis, I'm out.

  • Nice guitar, shame about just about everything else in that picture... 😬🍕😭⚡👉👌

  • I concur.

    St Tropez?

    Sweet Jesus.

  • Teenslain looks like a zombie Jean Paul Gaultier

  • Oh how the mighty have fallen....

  • Anyone want a pair of selvedge Levis 501's?

36W 32L, I have lost a fair bit of timber and they were always a bit big for me anyway. Never washed, worn literally twice.

Denim is quite soft and lightweight, would be pretty good for summer not sure on weight, I would guess about 12oz

£20 quid collected from Forest Hill or Lewisham

  • Are they 1955's shape ? may be interested, can any one tell from the pocket?

  • Had to look up Jacob Cohen Jeans as I'd never heard of them... £570 for a pair of god-awful purple-stitched fuckin' purple pony skin label monstrosities... and not even selvedge? Anyone who buys these is a cuntbag of the highest order

  • You don't like them then?
