Chelsea U19 won the FA youth cup, again.
They've done the double double. If only some more could make the step up to senior team. -

Isn't that symptomatic of your first team manager strategy? The latest incumbent is judged purely on results, so isn't going to waste his time developing young players.

been busy being stressed at work...
Was at the Albion game, and the noise from the South Stand throughout was amazing, but especially at the beginning, loud and passionate enough to make the hairs on your arms stand on end.
Felt like we controlled the game, got lucky with the own goal, and then had chance to kill off the game and didn't take them, there but for the thickness of the post goes our title hopes.
There was some lovely interplay on the counter between our attackers, one touch, quick and direct, scything through albion.
Fans around me started getting squirrelly as soon as we'd missed a couple of chances, knew we had to get a second, and though albion only threatened in places, the tension level shot up whenever they were in and around the box.
Dembele was immense, doing those little spins, holding off players with his strength, picking out a pass, he and dier's combination is fundamental to what we do...
Not winning this game and keeping the pressure on Leicester was disappointing, but as mentioned before if you'd offered me this before the season would have snatched at it...
If we add a couple more players, (definitely need a striker) to up the level of competition for places, the ones we have mature, and we hang onto Lloris, Toby and Jan especially, should be good for the next couple of seasons. Can't wait for the champions league matches next season..

It's a bit shit TBH...

First games of next season are scheduled for Aug 13th, you might get a couple of games at a decent time whilst you're in the northern hemisphere..

Did anyone else take anything I posted as attempting to make Liverpool the victims of heysel? If so, sorry. It may have been ham fisted and come across as insensitive and tasteless but it is impossible to turn LFC into the victim. I was trying highlight a lot of the stuff that led to the deaths of those Italians [a string of negligent decisions from authorities, non existent policing, fighting] though ultimately it was the charge that led to crushed football fans never making it home again. I just don't get how calling all reds murderers helps the Juve fans. Maybe I'm totally out of touch? Much like the Manchester United, "Munich" jibes (that Liverpool indulged in for years pre Sheffield and our resident manc ronnie does), Chelsea rentboys as pisti does or as marky boy rightly called me out for, Stoke fans being inbred. If you're down with that, cool, carry on with the murderer talk but I just don't see the benefit. I've questioned Liverpool's shameful 'handling' of Heysel, waiting 20 years until we played them in the CL before seeming to do much and I don't blame their fans for turning their backs and rejecting all the "friends" stuff. Maybe I'm being a wet blanket. Either I'm done with this topic and sorry for darkening this thread.

Would love to keep hold if Solanke he has a lot if promise and is a very talented player, the wages request is bold as there are 1st team regulars that are on less i think.
