Did anyone else take anything I posted as attempting to make Liverpool the victims of heysel? If so, sorry. It may have been ham fisted and come across as insensitive and tasteless but it is impossible to turn LFC into the victim. I was trying highlight a lot of the stuff that led to the deaths of those Italians [a string of negligent decisions from authorities, non existent policing, fighting] though ultimately it was the charge that led to crushed football fans never making it home again. I just don't get how calling all reds murderers helps the Juve fans. Maybe I'm totally out of touch? Much like the Manchester United, "Munich" jibes (that Liverpool indulged in for years pre Sheffield and our resident manc ronnie does), Chelsea rentboys as pisti does or as marky boy rightly called me out for, Stoke fans being inbred. If you're down with that, cool, carry on with the murderer talk but I just don't see the benefit. I've questioned Liverpool's shameful 'handling' of Heysel, waiting 20 years until we played them in the CL before seeming to do much and I don't blame their fans for turning their backs and rejecting all the "friends" stuff. Maybe I'm being a wet blanket. Either I'm done with this topic and sorry for darkening this thread.
