Go Compare advertising may be horrendous but it is effective and they did give us by far the cheapest quote for our car insurance. Even going direct to the same insurers was costlier. And the UI on their website is quite functional.
The Andrex ads with the "as clean as a squid" stuff is anathema to me. Fucking heinous.

Admiral, Go Compare, Money Super Market etc and any advert with fucking pretentious children being asked questions with answers like as "clean as a baked potato".
