Counting bikes in other countries is cheating. Who doesn't have a dozen bikes left in their parent's shed in Oz and a couple of bikes in future parent's in law's place in Poland. :P
No, I seriously want to downsize. My Kinesis Disc with aerobars should replace the Kinesis, the Stealth and I may as well lose the Tarmac to be fair, it gets bugger all use. I don't do vintage bikes or folders although I'd love a Brompton - why do you have a 'spare' Brompton? You must live in the country...
So many bikes, so little time...
This is why I want rid of many of mine. Fewer bikes means I can concentrate the maintenance on just them and I'll be likely to fix them quicker (in theory) because I wont just use another bike that's hanging up.

I bought a second hand Brompton, rode it into the ground, and while it was on its very last wheezing, crunching and grinding legs I built the Titanium Brompton of Bling. Eventually I'll get round to rebuilding the original one. Current plan is all chrome frame and deep section carbon wheels.

Ah, but more bikes means the overall maintenance load per bike is less because they don't get used as much. @Cycliste says I never need to fit a new chain because by the time it's worn I've got a new bike. This isn't true, but like all good satire there's an element of truth in it.
I may have one or two I don't really need. I did suggest (erm, promise) to @Cycliste that when I got the Cannondale I'd sell the Whitcomb. But I haven't built the Cannondale yet, so I've still got the Whitcomb. To be fair, my fleet does cover bikes in two different countries, and covers road, fixed road, commuting, TT, mountain, vintage and training bikes.
Can't see any need for a Tarmac or Stealth though. The Tarmac wouldn't do anything the Cannondale (Supersix Evo HiMod, natch) wouldn't, and I've already got one TT bike (P2) and another on the way (P5). Want a rather nice Whitcomb?
At the moment, all of mine are running except:
Cervelo S2 ('the Dentist's Chair') - work in progress on a major rebuild- hoping to use it this weekend for the Mallorca 312.
Dawes Galaxy - needs a rear wheel, I fucked up building up the new one.
Spare Brompton - long term super-bling project
Swiss MTB - nearly ready, needs a bit more work
Croix de Fer - major rebuild in the offing (hydraulic discs, new wheels) but it's not a priority
So many bikes, so little time...
