  • But Rapha don't sell themselves as an ethical, sustainably sourced and socially responsible brand...

  • ^^ hehe

  • They certainly did, and seem to still benefit from the tendrils of that past promotion.

  • Tis a sad day...I've got some of their selvedge that I've been rock for about 3 years. I'd always been keen on getting another pair. Not so sure now.

  • Another five pairs went in the wash today, just gotta find the last few pairs and all my jackets in the boxes in the garage... I've washed eleven pairs of jeans this week... I'm over it...

  • At least you have sinshone to dry them out in.

  • in which autocorrect lexicon does sinshone ever ever make sense?

  • It's probably a very expensive Japanese chef's knife... OK, with me... 😘

Found all my jackets, missing jeans and repro WW2 chinos this arvo... Very relieved, in a box I hadn't opened since we arrived in Oz... Straight in the wash tonight...

  • It's super windy today so those jeans dried in about two hours, which is amazing... Especially the Studio D'Artisans, they are cardboard...

  • Howies have always been about keeping it small and eco... then they sell out to Timberland... realise big mistake and buy themselves out again. I used to be a big fan of their clothing but gave up on them years ago.
Always wanted a pair of Huit jeans, but at £230, I'd rather go for a pair of Rogue Territory or Full Count

  • I'm off to Japan later in the year - hit me up with tips yeh?!

    @drøn also ;)

  • Most of the obvious ones have been done, Anatomica have that amazing woman that works there. Well worth a visit. Buzz Rickson. Margaret Howell is there, too, I think.

  • Wondering when natural selection are going to do another sample sale, loving the skinny 11oz raw denim jeans I picked up for small beer last year and want some more without paying full whack...

  • Are Edwin e55 raw 14oz sanforized? I am between 31-32 and wonder if they're gonna shrink?

  • It is always far too hard to find out whether or not they're Sanforized, no matter which brand. It does my swede in.

  • Could just write to them. I did for my carhartt that I'm about to try and shrink to fit.

  • Yes, leave leave your family at home and bring some denim back for me.

  • Family? It's only me and the doris.

  • Cor, was a good sale wasn't it?! Wish I'd picked up more

  • Picked up some 18.5oz denim from Kurabo a little while back. Had them made up last week and wore them for the first time today. They're going to take some serious breaking in!!

  • Yep, with hindsight should have picked up two more of the style I currently like and none of the one I don't.
Really don't want to pay £150 for a non sale pair...

Probably just have to wait for the next sample sale.

  • Advice I received was that Edwin 14oz red selvage will give a bit rather than shrink. I am 32" in Levi's, but tried on for example a pair of Replay in TK Maxx and 32" was way too small (did not buy!). My 32" Edwin Nashvilles have worn in quite nicely and are plenty comfortable now, even have a bit of room in the waist. I've not washed them yet.

  • fwiw, my edwin 71's give a little after washing, prob an inch or so. I bought them being just able to do the button up, on the verge of being uncomfy, and then they ended up being just right after a week or so of wear
