  • Sealskins waterproof socks for hiking in the wet. Worth it? I am looking at 3-4 days of walking through wet grass and would like to not die.
Any other sock suggestion? Less pricey would be also nice...

  • If it's wet grass and no streams/etc, I'd just go with a few pairs of good wool socks (whatever thickness you find comfortable) and some gaiters to keep the worst of the wet dew out in the first place. If you can pick up from Kensington/Kings Cross/somewhere in between, I have some gaiters I could lend you (if they're the right size). Edit: earliest pick-up will be tomorrow, as they're at home, in St Neots.

Or go with very lightweight trail shoes and quick-dry socks and sod the water. If it's really wet, waterproof boots & socks will just hold the water in.
