What I'm doing is actually a bit different.
Your digi cam will be able to spot meter if you want.
A shaded area is good to meter because it gets relatively constant indirect-light in those sorts of conditions.
Could be the shutter though...
That's true, I've swapped to using the old Lunasix 3 meter, just taking average readings and seeing how that compares.
I'm also keeping a journal off each film I shoot, what subjects, weather and settings.
