10 speed SLX cassette - do they need a spacer behind on some newer hubs?

A CS-HG81 cassette won't need a spacer if you're using an MTB hub or an 8/9/10-speed road hub. If you're fitting it to an 11-speed road hub, you'll need the 1.85mm spacer.

Thanks. Doesn't seem to want to tighten up, I think this is the hub, wasn't sure because it mentions 11 speed freehub... http://www.halowheels.com/products/part/HUHAM6R2K

Best check I've got all 10 sprockets on...

If it's for 11-speed road cassettes (e.g. for CX), then you need a 1.85mm spacer to fit a 10-speed cassette, plus the 1mm spacer where applicable (not in the case of CS-HG81, but some 10-speed road cassettes need it)
