My dad finally decided on a new car, a BMW X1 4x4 with the 150hp engine.
He now decided that the old Toyota Corolla Verso is too old to sell, and might as well run it down until it's effectively scrap.
At the moment it got a 190hp diesel engine but with appalling mpg (35-40mpg), beside changing the way he drive it, and reducing the weight, does remapping the engine to lower the horsepower to says 110-130hp might help? I've read conflicting review saying remapping it to increase power would mean the car won't work as hard and thus less fuel needed.
Right, need the hive mind on this.
