Had to disassemble the front end of the Koga Fullpro Oval, to check where the creaking cracking sound was coming from. Wiped down all the surfaces and tightened everything again, noise seems to have gone.
While at it, decided to swap out the Spesh Romin saddle for the ISM Adamo PL and rotate the bars down a little to get a comfy position in the drops. Will reinstall tri bars tomorrow too. Fingers crossed it's comfy for fast bikepack touring. Tempted to ride it on the hill sportive on sunday to test the new setup across a long distance.

I picked up this Gazelle Super AA F+F a while back and have been deliberating over how to build it up.....
So far I've come up with:
Option 1) I've accumulated a few SRAM Red 10 speed bits (FD, RD, cassette, and I'm still waiting to hear back from @Darwin regarding some shifters....).
Option 2) I've got a DA TT chairing, which I'm tempted to put on some 7400 cranks, and go for a more classic look...
Or, Option 3) Buy an 11 speed 5800 full groupset, and sell off the parts-bin bits.Any advice/opinions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

a mix with modern Shimano? or just the 7400 chainset?
P.S. Sorry to hear about your, and your girlfriend's bikes being stolen.
I hope you can get them back. -

Made this mock up almost exactly a year ago, since the plan was for me to buy this frameset (did you buy it off here?).
Would probably build it up a little different now, but I do think the black components look good.

is this fucked?

is this fucked?
That's certainly the usual sign that it's well on its way to being fucked. Drive side rear by any chance?
-
• #107594
Sadly yes.
-
• #107595
Rear, yes. Drive side, yes.
It's a tandem, so better not risk I suppose? -

Nice! I had a Pug with the same color scheme back then, but it was a touring bike. :)

Won this for future MrsOWK... £254 and sports Mavic Ellipse wheelset in decent nick, Sugino 75 cranks, Deda pista stem and Ritchey Carbon bars, Rolls saddle, Champ grips... Rest of the parts are Condor own brand. A few tweaks to fit, cockpit, maybe take a link out and obviously different pedals and it's done. Unless she prefers as a single speed in which case there's braze-ons for a brake cable and rear bridge is drilled. Rode it home from Victoria with a metre of seat post showing and no foot retention but it rides great...

bangin, looks very nice! if you ever sell the frame I'd like to know, if it's not too cheeky to say, seeing as you've just bought it.

This one is the full Mavic (miche original seatpost 26,4, and modolo brakes levers) ! I have build this racing team R 653 it in 99% Mavic for fun...(saddle clamping screw simplex)
Thanks Vp1337!
I've also seen "cheap Touring" like this and also R 531 Team Z from 1989
Yeah 48 X 11-28, 11 speed. The chainring was kind of a impulse buy. It's all flat here except for the occasional bridge but if I don't like it I'll probably switch back to a modern compact. Less shit but still bad pic :) 35 mm black hammered VO mudguards are on the way 😊
