• Instead of a stand you could just take a toe strap and wrap it around a brake lever when you stop. Doesn't solve the problem if there's nothing to lean it against, but a stand would add more weight to a an already fairly porky ride. If you want a stand that would support the bike and child; don't do it.

  • Totally agree regarding the stand and child. It's more for loading and unloading, good shout with the toe strap, that would help.

    The rockhopper is not a light beast and when laden she'll be even porkier but my adventures with Lana are going to be 5-10 miles of cycling, then camp out over night and cycle home the next day. Mini adventure type things.

    It's all about having fun, with just the basket it's also good for my 2 mile round trip to the shops.
