Is it worth going for tubs over tubeless for the racing set? and if so, what tub rims?
This depends on how much you think the performance advantage is worth, and how well you can cope with the hassle.
Having said that, a simple test that can pretty much rule tubs out is whether you plan to ride to races on them. Puncturing a tub on the way to a race...probably the only thing worse than puncturing a tub in a race :)
Rims depend on budget but it's a good application for Chinese carbon.
i need two sets of wheels for my new cross bike.
I want one set to be tubed, to run for commuting and general on road riding, then also to be used as a backup set for racing with a change of tyres. And I want one set of cross racing wheels.
Is it worth going for tubs over tubeless for the racing set? and if so, what tub rims? if it makes a difference i'm using discs.
