Forget Lockout, especially on shocks. Seriously. It sounds counter intuitive, but a well tuned and damped shock will make climbing so much better then it simply being locked out. The whole point is to keep that rubber in as much contact with the ground as possible, so all that bounce keeps it where it's needed.
Installed a dual remote on a customers factory CTD around a month ago, and he's already had a couple of issues with it. Simpler the better. -

Since i sent my fork and shock to Mojo I haven't had to touch the lockout. Climbing and defending = 100 x better.

Not sure...mine came with factory 32 stock (non-kashima) 100mm forks, and the dude I bought it off swapped the shock out for a kashima factory shock.
Chain reaction is flogging the 2014 kashima shocks for something like $320AUD (this is what's on mine) with a few different tunes...so about 160 quid?

Depends on what you want out of 32mm or 34mm stanchions.
32mm are light, but "flexy", especially if you do some decent downhill. I don't feel that much flex, but I only have 100mm travel. With 140mm+ I guess it'd start moving about.
34mm are heavier, and supposedly less flexy. -

Been riding the Trigger for a few months now, and I must say it's a lot of fun. It's taken a fair few rides to get the suspension dialled in, but the last ride out it was more fun than most of the bikes I've ridden recently (Intense Tracer 275, Trek Fuel 9.8, Stumpy 2016).
Now that I have some decent rubber on it, the thing climbs like a monster thanks to the rear-lockout and relatively low weight. It's also a very confidence inspiring on some reasonably technical downhill stuff. Lefty chews through rock gardens like a boss.
Alas I broke my triquetrum and it's not healed properly so i'll likely be out of action and unable to ride this beauty for a while. Bleh.
P.S. Mavic Crossroc tyres are the biggest pieces of shit I've ever had the misfortune of riding.

You're probably right.
But I've never owned a bouncey bike. In fact even my hardtails have had old geo. Not a sensible reason. But I never really grew out f the idea that bikes are toys.

I'll be running 130mm travel, wide ass bars, and a 50mm stem. I still may not be 'knarly' enough to noticably flex 32mm forks. But I'll take the weight penalty for a little more stiffness I think.

The Catch being that the Meta SL is designed for 500mm A-C forks, and comes With a 120mm fork OTP (a Float 32 in fact). Any 34mm, or 36mm 26" forks are always going to have a load more travel New. So I'm going to have to feck around With reducing that. I've set 510mm as my max A-C (because I obviously know more than commencal....cough...). Which allows 130mm of travel.
Float 34 at 130mm - 508mm AC - 1920g - $448
Slant 34 at 130mm - 515mm AC - 1905g - $339
Pike 35 at 130mm - 512mm AC - 1835g - $612Not much to choose between other then price really.

I'll be doing my best simply to get round after a winter of injury and massive fitness decline. What'll you be riding?
First race on the monster truck though so hoping that'll help me.
On the subject of the Commencal, I wouldn't worry about matching suspension. Something like an older RP23 with a fresh service and push tune will be better than off the peg and remotes and climb switches are just noise IME. And get the Slants.

Too tall?
The beauty of the X-fusion Slant is that I can adjust the trvel myself without too much hassle. Figured Id start at 130mm and see how it feels.

Yes, Boost hubs being wider between the flanges means the chainline moves outwards too. The crank spacer moves the chainline out without increasing Q-factor, which is fine so long as your chainstays aren't too wide.
