Well I'm glad I didn't stay/wake up at 3am to watch that. This season has been a disaster. I'd agree with @tallsam I can't see Martinez being sacked, Kenwright just isn't that ruthless. I don't think there needs to be a huge clear out either. I'd move on McGeady, Pienaar, Osman (some role at the club hopefully), Lukaku, Barry, Barkley, and Cleverley. I'd try and keep Stones as all he needs is a coach who actually understands how to set up a team to defend. I'd much rather keep Stones than Barkley. As much as I'd like Barkley to really improve he hasn't, he is undoubtedly talented but he isn't a smart football player. He very very rarely makes the right decision when it counts and I don't think anyone is going to be able to improve his game until he starts making better decisions. Stones has progressed under Martinez and I think this seasons is just a blip on his progression. Having a coach that knows nothing about defending and encourages players to make stupid mistakes isn't helping either. Get another manager in and I think he'll soon grow in confidence and become a world class centre half.
There are good youth players coming through and there should be plenty of money to spend from the sale of Lukaku and Barkely. The problem is who spends that cash? Who would be a good fit at Everton? Should Everton give another young ambitious, relatively unproven manager a chance or go with someone with more experience? Challenging times ahead at Goodison but I just hope the right decisions get made and next season is better.
