  • We've just got a new cleaner who complained on her first day that the cat was hissing at her, following her around the flat. I was a little skeptical that it was that bad but agreed to work from home today to smooth things out - if Pip saw me chilled at her presence then hopefully he'd realise that she wasn't an intruder...

    NOPE.

    Hissing, following her, scratching the floor. I've had to lock him in a bedroom while she's here. Not sure what to do about that. He's normally fine with new people. I guess she's the one who comes in and takes away all his scent and replaces it with lemony-freshness, which is great in my opinion but probably a real pain in the arse for a cat. And possibly even a territorial attack. Anyone else had a similar problem?
