Hey @I_am_Hingis. There's the sheet @Yukirin has linked to for riders to volunteer on specific nights, but if you ever feel like popping down off the cuff and lending a hand, it will always be appreciated. Simply head to the Comms stand (on the start/finish line) and you'll be found a job... Thanks.

Cheers, will be down there on Wednesday.
Feel especially obliged as I took my nephew for one of the kids sessions on Saturday and it's such an invaluable resource. The coaches were so patient towards him.

Great, thanks @I_am_Hingis. See you then.

TL - April 20th
The first Youth Race will start at 6.10pm tomorrow night and then the first C Category Senior race at 6.50pm.
If we have enough C category riders, we'll be running two of every C category race (C1 + C2). Alternatively, if we only have one C Cat group, we'll extend the length of the final Points race accordingly. Either way, we'll print off the schedule once sign-up is complete, so it's clear what the programme is and in what order races will run.
Thanks again for your patience as we work out the best way to maximise track time for all riders whilst remaining within the confines of British Cycling's new rider limits.
Lastly, if friends or club members are yet to register and wish to race tomorrow night, they'll need to sign up here by 5pm this evening. Do let them know.
See you at the track.

Couldn't make it in the end. How did today go?
-
• #60
Those kids are nippy ain't they!
I put it down to their small size being more aerodynamic. -
• #61
Nice to meet you properly tonight matey. Come to the POOB after though :)
Yep, they be fast children
-
• #62
Ditto. - Just wanted to get home and sit in front of the fire after races today.

FYI, if you've become a FHHV Special Friend, and received your membership card in the post or at track league, you can now flash it at either of the Rapha Cycle Clubs and be given your FHHV coffee stamp card, which entitles you to 9 free coffees. Enjoy!
-
• #67
...and everyone who's become a Special Friend since Apr 18th - and from now onwards - will receive a Rapha CC Coffee Card in their welcome pack.
Not too late to upgrade either, if you only went for the regular Friend of HHV membership. Just head to webcollect.org.uk/fhhv and choose the £16 upgrade. That's some tasty-value-for-money-velodrome-supporting right there!

Had my first night racing last night and loved it. Great friendly atmosphere and the rain just about held off. See you again next week
-
• #69
You left before the A&B's 'unknown distance until it rains' race then :)
Was great fun
I think it was you I was speaking too matey actually - I'm Rob in the BC kit with obligatory beard
-
• #70
Yes that was me.
Has anyone heard how the chap that fell is doing?
-
• #71
He spent the night in hospital but he's out now and bobbing about.
Smashed up shoulder and a decent whack on the head, but he'll live.
Last of the halfwheelers

Sadly not the last...

What's all this I heard about HHV's 125th birthday party?
-
• #74
Weather looking grim mind.
-
• #75
Weather will be grand (fingers crossed)
Just a quick reminder about tomorrow night's 125th birthday celebrations...
We'll be adding some 125th-themed prizes into our usual Track League programme. Some more primes, a few extra laps, an FHHV cap or two…and birthday cake! We'll also be offering a case of HHV 1891 IPA to the best supported rider, so get your noisiest friends along, line the fences and hear your name ring out every time you pass. Then thank them all with a bottle or two of Canopy's vintage brew! Lovely...
They'll be Canopy beer on tap too...and the rain has promised to stop at 6pm exactly, leaving us with clear skies under which to race - or drink - the night away.See you tomorrow.
