You got a knock off I can borrow? I think the Power looks a bit too flat for me.

Wait, don't you like in Surrey or something?

I have an eBay knock off carbon SMP I need to get rid of - moving house soon and I didn't get on with it, personally I need more than zero padding. Will sell for £10 including ebay inline lightweight alu seatpost (branded GUB or something). Can take pics if anyone's interested?

Mantel.com has good prices and Lordgun too.
I need a Dynamic, the 209 is rubbing the inside of my legs.
That's a pattern though: Selle SMP TRK on tourer (bars parellel with saddle) = rub, go to SMP pro = fine.
SMP Lite 209 on a 3" drop from saddle to bars: Fine
Lite 209 on a 6" drop...rubs again.I guess the TL:DR is that you need narrower/less padded the lower you go. At least in my experience. (too bad saddles are £££)

I spoke to a guy at Bespoked that had loads of saddles and a Watt bike and a pelvis skeleton thing and he was telling/showing me how the SMP saddles are marmite and it's not just the aesthetic that divides people, some people just aren't the right shape for them. He had one (Pro maybe) that he said wouldn't work for the pelvis he had and showed me how due to the massive cutout the bit you sit on is actually more of an edge and it was just in the wrong place for that pelvis.
I told him about how I'd tried a fake and found it comfy until I hit bumpy surface and then found it hell and he reckoned that the shape suited me but I needed padding to stop bruising, he said that the pain from bruising is usually way worse than pain from a saddle that just doesn't fit very well.
He also had one of those mental saddles with the shark fin that goes up yer chuff
and was saying that he'd never expect anyone to ride full time with one but that he uses it to assess and sort out how straight a person is sitting.
Interesting chat.

I have two extras, massive and ugly as you say. Didnt want to spend $$$ so picked up a hell from Lordgun for €64.99, not as nice as the high end ones but looks much better than the extra

Why is there no love here for the Stratos? I've got one on every bike and can throughly recommend. Its padded, but still very firm.
-
• #897
Stratos is too narrow for me, but otherwise would try :)

My dad didn't find it supportive enough. For me however they support just where I need.
So far I've ran padded ones (pro and lite 209) a Forma...hmm...ehm...no not so sure :)
That shark saddle though... :):):)

looks way too padded for me. Evolution would be fine maybe. Or dynamic. Love my composit.
Knock off one? Do you want to give specialized power a go as well? Collect from mine if you want 143mm.
