i pretty much got the wheels for free, thats why :) i think they look okay toghether.
-
• #129
Yeah they look fine. Just wondered if there was another reason.

I have the exact same one. It will treat you well. 44T, too me, is the magic size...
-
• #131
What cassette are you running at the back? I went for 42T up front on my 1 x 10..

The disc fork was actually 35mm rake?
-
• #133
I thought it but it was apparently 40mm.
however i talked with orlowski and it was still possible to stretch the rake to 42mm so thats the new spec, @svendhöek thanks for input.

Today i built a rearrack for the bike, i will only use bags in front, this is just for strapping tent and other stuff.
built of 6 mm tubes that I bought at the local craft store.

Very cool! - what does it weigh?
Do you have any idea on its max carry weight?
-
• #136
ive built this rack some years ago and i have rided with a friend on 70-75kg on it so i think the rear rack easy takes 40kg, i will only have 5kg maximum 10kg when im out on the baltic tour this summer.
material costs for the rack was 20£

Same rack, 6mm tubing like the rearrack.

has anybody here stuffed some 42mm x 650b wheels in a kaffenack frame ?
messured the frame and I can't really say if its a tight fit or no fit at all...
I'm really tempted to try it but I don't want to blow money on something that definitly won't work. -

Finaly i got my orlowski forks, a little bit shorter A-C and 42mm rake.
Maybe i build a new rear rack so i got same tubing size front and rear racks!

the fork completes it really nice! does he charge more for the disc mount?
-
• #144
i think i paid just under 100£ with shipping for the fork, ordered with two friends so maybe a little discount from Jacek.

Whats the deal with your little workshop. Is it rented as a business or art studio or something? Is it just a hangout/place to fix bikes for you and some mates? I'd love something like that.

Fista HQ, storage and workshop with weldmachine and other fun stuff for parts of the crew!

Mighty dusty in there; your tyres are always grey! Great bike(s) though, as always.
-
• #148
Yes its dusty down there :/ , big car garage outside our flat and after a testride around all cars and tyres looks like that.
Storage side of the garage.

Columbus max blades? I want to get a disc mount brazed onto my max fork but apparently theyre too thin/light and can snap

I want to come visit you man
Why the non-matching rims (A719 front, Open Pro rear)? any reason other than thats what you had?
Different widths so surely the tyre will sit differently. Although wider front so presumably comfier. Not to pick fault. Great bike.
