A colleague is looking to by a hybrid and liked the look of a 'dale bad boy on the cyclescheme. I know nothing about hybrids but thought a charge might be better
Anyone own one/ would recommend it?
-
• #5054
They're overpriced for a hybrid.
Charge would be better, the Pinnacle Neon also a pretty good bike that's very light for the weight too.

pls? Also that Dale tandem, I was getting the twitch severely, showed the missus and got the predictable response of "If you think I'm getting on that with you etc etc". Oh well.

enve or easton low rise is quite hip. Just search for something with low rise (10-20) and somewhat amount of upsweep. and keep it wide (+64cm)

Don't suppose anyone knows the crank length you get on the 56cm Supersix do they?
-
• #5063
Id be surprised if it wasn't 172.5mm, but I can't say that for sure.
-
• #5064
my 56 caad12 has 172,5 so quite likely they have the same across the range

I wonder where in the UK would service such a device...
If it's post 2006 then it can take a modern damper, so all would not be lost if you pulled it apart and knackered it. If I were you I'd get the castle tool, remove the damper then post it to
88+ when the time comes. The telescope will be fine.
Give me a shout if you have any questions.
Getting my 2.0 Lefty repaired was relatively straight forward although TF weren't exactly shit-hot. It was the criminally hamfisted re-installation that caused the agony. I was more referring to this thread that gives you an idea of some of the complications involved with tear down and reassembly.
