It's at £300 with no bids.
If you are going for the Pro-ject, have a look at the Debut Carbon Esprit SB - it's a bit more money for a lot more features.

Cheers chaps. Good options there. Quite fancy that rega but also drawn to something new with a bloody guarantee! What features dies the carbon sb have that ill notice? I'm no audiophile.

Being able to change speed between 33 and 45 without having to take the platter off and arse around with the belt is the main one then!

How would these compare to a modern Project turntable?
I think if the previous keeper took care of it then vintage can be painless. The Michell I bought from the original owner, it was lightly used then stored. Result!

Yeah, leaning towards one of them. The P1 things? A few kicking about new I think.. on Amazon. £240 wish. Pretty decent.

I have a Linn Axis in my loft. I wasn't particularly thinking of selling it but otoh, can't really see it being brought back into use in the foreseeable future. It is the superior version with Akito arm. IMO Axis is much better vfm than LP12. In many people's opinion, it is better full stop than most of the elderly LP12 variants.
Let me know if it is potentially of interest. It's in decent condition save for the lid hinges which are a known weak point.

To be honest, I think you'd be happy with any of them. They're all good and you'll enjoy listening to them.

I'd have to have a quick look to see what kind of money they generally fetch. Axis are not as sought after as LP12 so don't seems go for that much. I've seen Akito arms on their own sell for more than ones attached to Axis decks.
I guess the right price is in the region of £200, +/-.

Whilst this is quite an old TT, I don't quite think of it as "vintage". I think it dates from mid 80s, as far as I know I am the second ever owner and I have the original box. It has never required attention in the 25 years or so I've owned it. Had it checked over by Graham's hi-fi about 15 years ago.
Next weekend for viewing could work.
