Having failed to take one last week, I'd been planning this weeks shot all week.
Today we took a trip to Polesden Lacey, where we had a lovely hour or so in the gardens.
When it came to it, I got the set of photos to create what I wanted, but I'd also been reminded how framing of objects has been used for far longer than photography has been going on, from the use of the Ha Ha to frame the landscape, to smaller statues, framed from only certain points as you walked past. Hence todays shot.

I liked lots of entries this week, especially those by PhilDAS and panic, and ended up voting for the latter. Others I really liked were skydancer's, ObiWomKenobi's, c0gsucker's, and MrDrem's.
One should really be in no great hurry to vote on these (there were too many good ones in this week in pictures) and instead hang them up framed in a museum with nice architecture and allow their power to do its work, a bit like a religion or a Kubrick film.

Maybe we could have an exhibition at some point, in a car park perhaps.

I love this thread! Amazing work all. Were I any kind of photographer I'd enter something. For now, I'm very happy lurking.

Jump in!
I'm really rubbish but think that having a brief is making me better.
It's fun.

Yeah go for it!
I certainly don't think of myself as a 'photographer' and I'm sure many would agree with me, it's just a fun thing to do each week. And if you improve/find a new hobby as a result, then great.

Didn't ever expect I'd win this week but I've got a couple good topics in the pipeline to get people out and shooting something different so I hope I get the chance to set one in the coming weeks.
Great entries again this week
Went with @ItkI in the end but the strongest subject wise I think was @c0gsucker. Keep up the good work guys -

So I am definitely a snapper, not a photographer. I'd appreciate guidance though, so enter nonetheless :-)
^^ and ^ are really really nice.
