Pucker up, big boy.

That will work with the mtb G3? Interesting.

Should do. Pretty sure the freehubs are the same on my MTB and road Powertaps.

Looking at a few dozen Ebay listings. There are definitely cross compatabilities between novatech and powertap. But I just couldnt put enough data together to find a mtb XD.

Sorry I missed this post before...
I'm no expert, but I just had a look at my GC log and had a bit of a play.
I'm guessing that the picture of the model that you shared comes from the "summary and details" panel, right? If so, then I realise that mine doesn't update when I manually adjust my CP and W' values either. I think that this is because this panel only shows the W' and CP values as calculated by Golden Cheetah's model, and that the numbers reported are the estimated values at the time of that particular ride. If you click back through your previous activities, you should see that at some point these numbers change to reflect the what GC estimated your CP and W' values to be at the time of each ride.
If you look on the "Trends" page, you can add a graph called "CP Analysis" (it's one of the preset metric trends) which shows this historical trend in your estimated CP. I've set the chart to show my:
estimated CP (using GC's extended CP model; yellow)
configured CP (My own manual estimation of CP (usually 0.95*[10mile TT power]; blue)
estimated W' (using GC's extended CP model; red)
CP20, and CP60 values (pink). You can see from my chart that recently, my estimated W' has been falling as my estimated CP has been recovering... This is apparently normal as I'm currently focusing on TT's and am therefore fleshing out the right hand side of my CP chart (durations >5min) more than the left hand side (durations <5min).
In terms of estimating values such as TSS etc. I THINK that GC will only ever use the values you enter manually... the estimated values just allow you to track trends through time and tell you when you might want to update your manually set values.

Ok chainrings.
I want a 56t 110bcd chainring to put on the 3dplus p2m.
Which one? Also guess I need a 42 inner ring? Or can I run a 39?
I've only seen the miche one http://www.acycles.co.uk/miche-supertype-crono-chainring-110mm-black-5595.html?utm_source=google_produit_cpc&gclid=Cj0KEQjwosK4BRCYhsngx4_SybcBEiQAowaCJbdNii372j12meaShT9eWPSpKIhw9K73M_m0UPT74rgaAtje8P8HAQ#null

You might get away with a 39T, but the recommended maximum gap is 16T, so a 40T would be safe. Make sure your RD has enough capacity if you're going to exploit the maximum difference up front.

Thanks.

Thanks. You're right, I think if you've been focusing on longer intervals and don't have many short sharp bursts the W' Model will be underestimated. You are right, I entered it manually and it uses that value now (despite not saying so in the model)
I think GC uses calculated CP though, not the manually put in FTP unless you change the default setting under athlete>power zones to "Use FTP". So in your case by default it will use your blue line, not the yellow line for calculating IF and TSS etc
I'm happy with it using estimated CP though, what it predicts typically feels right provided I remain active and give it power data on a regular basis.

Novatech make Powertap hubs

• #7212
Speaking of powertaps, someone locally is offering G3 & Open pro combo for £275 - Is that good?
I'm awaiting rim-wear details and mileage on the hub...

I'd hit it.

My Power2Max arrived this morning!
Of course thanks to Cannondale and bike24, I have no cranks to attach it to.

Dibs

Apparently Rotor Flow cranks can be had in 165mm and fit P2M.
Maybe I should just order a set of these fuckers?Anyone know where I can get a 56T, 57T or 58T DA9000 chainring cheaper than the £100 that Fibrelyte want?

Probably a different interface to the Hollowgrams though isn't it?
-
• #7218
Yeah, but I'm over that shit. I just want to use my disc wheel!
-
• #7219
148 mm Q-Factor as well - which was the whole point of the hollowgrams, wasn't it?
-
• #7220
Hollowgrams are (iirc) 142mm
-
• #7221
If Hollowgrams don't exist or are impossible to get hold of then their q-factor is a lot bigger than 148mm...

Will an aero chainring fit over the p2m type s? 110bcd
-
• #7223
No. It depends on which arms you have and which axle length you have.
See endless discussion loop in Crack'n'fail thread.

• #7224
I was quoting SRM claimed figure.
Edit: 141mm

Maybe I should try an SRM again? #donotwant
I've been stressing about this for ages. Nearly sold my 10-42 casstte for a Shimano one.
I could kiss you.
