Get wider rim, it'll lower the tyre profile.

Lurked on here for a long time but finally built a ss from my old boardman.
Started off as a 18sp sora race, for what i road it drops wasnt good so put some old mountain bike bars on, then went single ring with 32 contis and now full ss conversion
Not sure of the 44x17 gear yet but its the magic number with a little filing to dropouts.
Anyhow feel free to shoot me down or post pic in other posts all comments/heckles welcome

That's alreet. Photobucket link has an additional ')' at the end, causing the page not found.

Then stop using it. The attachment system here is one of the best features, use it. Click on "Upload a file" down in the bottom left of the reply composition box

Mrs TM got a new bike so I'm in the process of turning her Woodrup into a town bike (now we have moved to the top of a big hill her singlespeed isn't ideal for running into town any more)
Will be changing to single chainring and bar mounted shifter soon as the big ring isn't really needed and she's not a fan f the DT shifters.

I wish frames of that calibre were as thick on the ground here as they seem to be over there.

Are the Shifters index or friction?

The ones on there are friction.

Just a quick one more Dawes photo, this time in the sun and dialled in.
115km this weekend and it's so ridiculously comfortable. And I kind of want 6800 on another bike now :/
Not too sure what the max tyre clearance will be, certainly 28c + guards should work, but the chain stays don't look to have much more clearance than that. Will try some 28c later this week and go from there.
one of a kind ;)
Easton scandium tubes (frame) and stell forks (tange).
Bought the tubes, drew the geometry and a Portuguese frame builder welded it. Than I prepared it for paint (smooth the weldings by hand, etc.) and painted it.
I already showed this bike here a few times but with a different set ;)
