Check out Planet X, they got GB mudguard for £16, 40mm and Long, that with the 50% discount

Blurb says 40mm will fit tyres upto 32. You think I'll manage to squeeze the 35s through em?

Yeah you can, steel mudguard are a touch thinner and extremely stiff, I run 42mm on a 50mm mudguard (the Oak) and it work flawlessly.

If you're happy tweaking it carefully and measuring it, go on.
