Hi Rich, I've got a Scott Contessa Speedster 15, think it's 52cm, Shimano 5700 groupset, alu frame with carbon forks... Bought it for my ex, but she only used it a few times so it's in very good nick, looks like this one...

Take a look at rebuilt Geoffrey Butler which might work for your GF.

Thank you @NorthLondonLight - I'm ideally looking for something quite new/modern as I tried the more traditional route once and Mrs Dick didn't get it!
@GreatSince78 that bike looks perfect - I've popped you a text!

£4000?

That's about as likely as me paying £700 for that fucking carrera.
In fact, I'd rather pay the £4K for the Cervelo!

Ikr.. Maybe this one then?
£380>?

Clearly that carrera is a winner. Close the thread.

Maybe on the small side..?

Edit: person selling it says he's 5'10.

Yeah I just saw, I find it impossible that someone at 5'10" is riding that bike.
I'm 5'10/11 and I ride a 56 with 20mm layback post, saddle as far back as possible and at least a 110mm stem!!
Someone 5'10" on a 48 is ridiculous.
I think the seller is massively misjudging effective size versus actual measurements!
Thanks for the heads up though great looking bike, would be perfect if it was actually 48 and not £550!!

Maybe he/she is wildly overstating their height? Maybe work could be done price-wise?
Good luck with the hunt nonetheless. I too thought that bike looked pretty sweet, albeit rather tastily priced...

Has the carrera been bought yet?

What's wrong with my Carrera?

Eye-wateringly overpriced

m8 you are missing out

Staaahhhhppp - I would be all over it if it was in budget.....

I'll admit I prefer a bike a bit on the smaller side, but after cracking out the tape-measure, the seat-tube is 48cm (although, effective is certainly a bit more than that).
It's priced with expected wiggle-room (and the fact that the 2nd hand pricing for Roubaixs is all over the place), so feel free to give me a prod on that.

Edit - Wrong thread, sorry
Hello there good people of LFGSS
I'm looking for a bike for my darling girlfriend
She's 164cm, so I'm thinking 49cm - 52cm, probably the latter
Something like a Specialized Allez or similar
Light, aluminium, carbon fork
Must be good condition, ideally very good condition/ as new
All options considered
Please send me a PM or reply below
