I wasn't even into spoks before they were cool.
I was :-) You wouldn't have wanted the first generation, they were not really stiff enough axially.

See, the thing I don't get with the whole Planet X and Holdsworth thing is things like this: http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FRHOCO/holdsworth-competition-frameset
That frame is fit, but who on earth wants to pay a grand (or £600 in the 'sale') for a frame with that paint job and with Holdsworth livery?
I'm interested in who makes them. Is there some far east factory churning out modern steel frames?
-
• #39967
Having said that, £600 + paint job is probably a reasonable price for a spirit frame with full carbon fork...
But why not just sell them in raw/sensible colours/outlandish paintjobs. If that frame was in a similar colour way to their 'adventure bikes' then I could be tempted.

Colossi?

Also, whenever I see Holdsworth I think of:

Good shout. I hadn't seen their frames before.

Yeah, they're nice and they make them in grown up sizes too. Only problem is getting hold of them, I believe the UK distributor's ON HERE. Messaged him a bit back and forth about a Rambler Track but would've worked out a bit pricey for me. I think Goldsprint and Standert in Germany do rebadged versions.

Must have had a planetx tri internetbike fit ;)
Is that Corbyn? I thought he'd buy a nice new biek with the fundraiser for him but perhaps that didn't work out as he didn't accept the cash.

Its definitely Jeremy. That stem is mad. From a dutch bike I'd imagine.
Fuck.
Non-hipsterness exposed. I wasn't even into spoks before they were cool.
