"The owner claims that it was e repainted Colnago frame but it seems like he doesn't know much about bikes. I bought it for $700TTD ( Trinidad and Tobago currency) which would equate to $104USD or £75. Think I was a bit hasty in buying it and did not thoroughly inspect the original colnago details..."
i asked to see more pics of lugs and if vendor has any more frames, as the emailer bought a bianchi pista instead of this, and "all his frames are the same price" -

nice to know they heard of saarf.london in T&T

I hadn't taken a look at your Wordpress site yet (only saarf.net) but now I have, yes I see the extent of your obsessive compulsive disorder.
However if it helps I hear buying a bicycle is often cheaper than an hour or two on the therapists couch and often satisfies the craving.
A remarkable collection you have. They must bring you much joy to own and certainly offer a good distraction from the ones that you don't.

I don't know about being 'the expert', just in my experience I have no recollection of seeing the Arlecchino model there, it comes in a rango of single block colours with the arlecchino diamonds , normaly seen with athena
re the dream, the forks look unusual, most came with prescisa type or carbon forks, the above decor looks similar to this c59

Especially like that yellow master, though also the master olympics (@Concept2 and @saarf), the Rabobank master (@WimVDD) and the red master (@JusCos). They're all made of Columbus Gilco with 4 flutings, right? Does anybody know what distinguishes the different Gilcos? Did the number of flutings increase with time? Price? Were they all the same and different frame builders just chose the one they liked somehow? (I'm asking because I've got a rather funny Gianni Motta with 5 flutings.)

Gilco means Gilberto Columbo, and the only true 'gilco' is decalled, the type on master differs in 96, as the tubes were bigger
uscannini in belgium used a gilco type 4 crimped tube, regarding colnago, the other models with 5 or more crimps are either slx or sl steel (spiral conic and esa mexico) -

Others with a fluted tube here too from Daccordi and Rossin.

many brands have used flute tubes, as far as i know the only frame with fluted tubes and the gilco decal is the master
gilco design is a company, so perhaps other brands had their own tubes drawn -
• #1816
no gilco decal on the above
i'm sure i read somewhere rossin used to build for colnago, left, and started on his own -
• #1817
I concur. Rossin did afaik build for Colnago. Gilco is I'm positive unique to the Masters but others produced their own varieties.

I have a Carrera (built from Nivacrom tubes) that has fluted top and down tube. And saw recently a Guercotti with fluted tubing as well.

Quite a difference there in tube size when you see them side by side.

What about the 1994 Masters made of Tange tubing, how different was their shape?
-
• #1825
i'm unsure as to if Tange 94 was actaually used, or it was just a machiavelian ploy to for the east asian market, as i have a 94 tange super pui which is exactly the same as one built with columbus tubes, so, as far as i'm aware, the 94 master tange is the same dimensions as gilco
c50 cx, actually said to be more akin to the extreme c, as the tubes are all round
