Steerer length will depend on the frame size.
Any 1/18th threadless fork with adequate length will work.
If you want something lugged with a flat crown like the stock fork, you'll probably struggle as not many are made with this steerer.

Thanks - frame size is a 56 ctt ST, head tube length 136mm. Can't find a steerer length on the Surly website though so will have to persevere with a bit more googling.
Do you reckon these would work?

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Tifosi_Carbon_Pista_Track_Bike_Forks/5360045775/#moreI've got them on my 56 fuji track, ebay £21 NOS, they came with a pretty long steer so I would presume they would fit! There are tonnes of carbon forks knocking around on ebay and your much more likely to get a good deal on there so I'd keep your eyes peeled before buying new...

Yeah I had a look on ebay earlier and was almost put off by how cheap most of them are...

.
Thinking of getting a steamroller frameset currently on offer for 280 at Wiggle, but would like to swap out the forks for something with tighter clearance and maybe slightly steeper rake.
I know people probably do this all the time so would be grateful if anyone has any recommendations.
How limited am I going to be by steerer length? Steamroller forks are 375mm so do I need the same or longer?
Is it worth attempting this myself or better to just get LBS to sort it?
Cheers, Chris
