That SRAM is good when you like external power. How much for the sensor?

How's the SRAM good for external power? Caught my attention on that as I'm currently thinking how I'll power a 1000 for the Etape in July - likely to be 10/11 hours duration and my battery doesn't last that long. Thinking of taping small battery pack under Garmin.

The speed/cadence. The SRAM allows enough space for the external power cable on an 800 as it takes the unit slightly over the handlebars which were in the way with the other mounts.
