Needed a new stem for my beater to refit comfibars and cantis. Picked up this ancient Odyssey Pro Steer System one for £4 from a lbs - has a slightly mad adjustable cam system that increases the mechanical advantage as you pull in the cable so you can theoretically gain more clearance and more power. Took all afternoon to set up, but does work.

Of course the Shimano servo wave levers kind of do the same thing. I have over a centimeter of pad clearance and the shortest lever throw in the world...

3T should have put one of those on the Ventus stem :-)

Ridley is pretty much done, needs slightly higher gearing for track and more track specific tyres.

It's very comfy, just joined smp crew so going to test it on sat. Hope it cures my gooch numbness issues.

Changed the skinny 23c vittorias out for some nice Clement Strada's in 28 and managed to snag a brooks swallow titanium fairly cheap off ebay. Payday on Friday means I'll be ordering some of these mudguards: http://handsomecycles.com/products/black-fenders they're a bit like the velo orange ones but with a more matte finish. Probably going to replace that horrible Tiagra chainring with something a bit more elegant.. black or silver though? I'm leaning towards silver. Pedals, bottle cages, some kind of front rack and bag setup still to buy too.

That chainset is perfectly fine tbh. You could spend your money on yoga instead?

hy there DAnW cut the bottom horizontal part of your cinelli handlebar exchange it for something adjustable , your brake levers are far too low!

They are very sought after fish, big money stuff in the region.
